Thiamethoxam Systemic Neonicotinoid Insecticide

CAS Number: 153719-23-4

Thiamethoxam is a second-generation neonicotinoid insecticide and nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist, offering superior systemic activity and broader pest spectrum compared to first-generation imidacloprid. It is rapidly absorbed and translocated through xylem to all plant parts, protecting developing leaves and roots from sucking and soil-dwelling insect pests. Thiamethoxam is widely used in seed treatments for corn, soybean, wheat, canola, and cotton, and is active against whiteflies, aphids, thrips, soil insects, and nematodes.
