Attapulgite Clay (Palygorskite) WP/WG Carrier

CAS Number: 12174-11-7

Attapulgite (palygorskite) is a fibrous magnesium aluminum silicate clay mineral used as a carrier, adsorbent, and anti-caking agent in WP, WG, and dust granule (DG) pesticide formulations. Its unique needle-like crystalline structure provides high surface area for active ingredient adsorption and excellent flowability. Attapulgite is particularly valued for its acid-stable, non-swelling properties that make it suitable for acidic pesticide formulations where swelling clays like bentonite are unsuitable.
