Paclobutrazol Triazole Growth Retardant
CAS Number: 76738-62-0
Paclobutrazol is a triazole-type plant growth retardant that inhibits gibberellin biosynthesis at the ent-kaurene oxidase step, producing compact plant architecture with dark green foliage, increased tillering, and enhanced stress tolerance. In addition to PGR activity, it also exhibits moderate fungicidal properties against Ascomycetes. Paclobutrazol is used in mango production for uniform flowering and yield improvement, in rice for lodging prevention, and in ornamentals and turf for growth control.
