Propiconazole Triazole Fungicide Active Ingredient

CAS Number: 60207-90-1

Propiconazole is a systemic triazole fungicide that inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis (demethylation inhibitor, DMI) in fungal cell membranes, providing broad-spectrum control of Ascomycete, Basidiomycete, and Deuteromycete pathogens. It is effective against leaf diseases in cereals (brown rust, powdery mildew, Septoria), stone fruit diseases (brown rot), and turfgrass diseases (dollar spot, brown patch). Propiconazole exhibits long systemic movement and curative action, allowing post-infection application.
