Dimethylacetamide (DMAc, ≥99.9%) is a high-boiling polar aprotic solvent closely related to DMF but with greater thermal and chemical stability. It is the primary spinning solvent for aramid (Kevlar/Nomex) and high-modulus polyimide fibers, and is used in pharmaceutical synthesis, membrane casting, and high-performance polymer processing.
