Sodium percarbonate is a solid, stable oxygen bleaching agent that releases hydrogen peroxide in water, providing bleaching, stain removal, and disinfection without the harsh effects of chlorine bleach. It whitens fabrics, removes tea, coffee, wine, and organic stains, and is color-safe at recommended use levels. Its breakdown products (sodium carbonate and water) are environmentally benign.
