Forchlorfenuron (CPPU) Cytokinin Plant Growth Regulator

CAS Number: 68157-60-8

Forchlorfenuron (CPPU, 1-(2-chloro-4-pyridyl)-3-phenylurea) is a synthetic cytokinin-type plant growth regulator used to increase fruit size and improve fruit set in a range of horticultural crops. It acts by stimulating cell division and delaying senescence in developing fruits, leading to significantly larger and more uniform fruit. Forchlorfenuron is widely used in kiwifruit size enlargement, table grape berry sizing, and fig production in Asia and other major fruit-producing regions.
